Following on from his popular scores for iconic films Wolf Creek and Rogue, Melbourne producer, Francois Tetaz, is back with the latest edition to his catalogue, the original motion picture soundtrack for Australian black comedy film Judy & Punch.
Judy & Punch, starring Mia Wasikowska (Alice In Wonderland), follows the story of seaside (nowhere near the sea) puppeteers Judy and Punch, as they attempt to resurrect their marionette show in an anarchic town on the brink of mob rule. The Guardian, describes it as a “mouth-puckeringly tart movie that’s tonally in a world of
its own – darkly disturbing, absurd, brutal and silly, with a batsqueak of bonkers.”
Premiered early last year to rave reviews at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, Judy & Punch hit Australian screens late in 2019 and is set to make it’s much awaited debut in the United States later in 2020.
Taking home the 2019 AACTA award for 'Best Original Music Score‘ for his work on Judy & Punch, Francois’ adds to his long list of accolades including ARIA and Grammy Awards for his work on Gotye‘s Making Mirrors album, including the award for ‘Record Of The Year’, and the Australian Guild of Screen Composers 'Feature Film Score of the Year' Award for Wolf Creek.
The release of this Judy & Punch marks the first time any of Francois’ iconic film scores have been made available to purchase on vinyl.
